Landscape Photography course is arranged at Kameraseura, address Lastenkodinkuja 1 (except the field trip on Saturday) at 4.-6.5.2012.
Friday evening at 17.00-21.00, Saturday at 14.00-20.00 and Sunday at 16.30-20.30.
The main emphasis of the course will be on the art of landscape photography (choosing location, right time, composition, use of light, camera settings, what lens and filters to use...). The landscape photographer´s equipment (camera, lenses, tripod,..) will be also discussed. The basics of post-processing for landscape photos will be presented, and examples will be show with Lightroom and Photoshop. Also panorama photography and use of Tilt/Shift lenses will be discussed shortly. This course is suitable for beginners and advanced photographers.
On Saturday we will make field trip to some photogenic location. Bring your camera and tripod. Your camera can be compact camera or DSLR. It should have aperture priority and/or full manual settings. The destination of Saturdays trip and exact time will be decided on Friday based on the weather forecast, and how the spring is progressing.
All students will get feedback on their photos. You can send two landscape photos in advance for Friday's discussion, and on Saturday we will review the photos from the field trip.
The course is led by Mikael Rantalainen. Landscape photography is his passion, and he has held four landscape photography exhibitions. You can see his photos in www.mr-photography.com/ and www.maisemanlumo.fi (Finnish site, only best landscape photos).
